1、 Classified by surface treatment process

The surface treatment process of aluminum veneer directly affects its appearance, weather resistance, and service life. Common types include:

1. Fluorocarbon coated aluminum veneer: PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) coating is used, which has strong UV resistance and corrosion resistance. Its outdoor service life can reach more than 20 years (according to the standard GB/T 23443-2009 "Aluminum Veneer for Building Decoration"). Suitable for high-end buildings such as airports and sports centers.

2. Powder coated aluminum veneer: By electrostatically adsorbing epoxy resin powder, it has multiple color options but slightly weaker weather resistance, and is commonly used for indoor decoration.

3. Anodized aluminum veneer: An oxide film is formed through electrolysis process, with high hardness and scratch resistance. The common thickness is 10-25 microns, suitable for modern style building facades.

4. Imitation stone/wood grain transfer printing aluminum veneer: using heat transfer printing technology to simulate natural material texture, environmentally friendly and cost-effective compared to real stone, widely used in commercial spaces.

2、 Classified by shape and structure

Aluminum veneer can be processed into different structures to meet diverse design requirements:

1. Flat aluminum veneer: a standard rectangular or square panel with a thickness typically ranging from 1.5-4.0mm, suitable for conventional scenarios such as curtain walls and ceilings.

2. Punched aluminum veneer: with aperture ranging from 1-10mm and perforation rate of 5% -30% (according to QB/T 1561-2016 "Metal Ceiling"), it has both decorative and sound-absorbing functions and is commonly used in theaters and subway stations.

3. Irregular aluminum veneer: formed through CNC bending, including complex shapes such as curved and hyperbolic shapes, requiring customized production, often used for artistic architectural appearance.

4. Honeycomb composite aluminum veneer: with an aluminum honeycomb core in the middle and a thin aluminum plate on the surface, it is lightweight and high-strength, suitable for large-span suspended ceilings.

3、 Other functional classifications

1. Fireproof aluminum veneer: using A2 grade non combustible material core layer, the fire resistance limit can reach 1-2 hours (GB 8624-2012 standard), used in safe areas of high-rise buildings.

2. Insulated aluminum veneer: The interlayer is filled with rock wool or polyurethane, with a thermal conductivity of ≤ 0.045W/(m · K), suitable for cold northern regions.

3. Antibacterial aluminum veneer: surface coated with nano silver, with an antibacterial rate of ≥ 99% (ISO 22196 testing standard), used in clean places such as hospitals and laboratories.
